Green tsavorite
Tsavorite is an extraordinary garnet. Its name derives from Tsavo National Park in Kenya, where the gem was first discovered in 1967. Its colour ranges from light green to dark yellowish green and is always very intense.
This remarkable gemstone is said to promote prosperity, success and creative energy.
Tsavorite is mainly mined by small-scale operations in East Africa. Sustainable mining practices are becoming ever more important to minimise the impact on the environment and local communities.
